Ann Gillars caught an image of herself in the bar mirror, still somewhat amazed at the sight of the getup she had gotten her hands on. Whatever the Knight had come up with was certainly…different. Personally she thought that she looked like a movie extra from a bad movie, but so far no one had given her a second glance since she had arrived. She moved over to the dirtiest drunk she could find, the man making no attempt to hide the stares that he gave her. “So, if I was looking for, umm a ride with…you know. A little extra…” She leaned in, hating herself a little for degrading herself like this, blushing a little. It was for the greater good, but that didn’t make it any more enjoyable “Well…you could try Manny. He always knows where to get his hand on a ride. You can usually find ‘im at his shop down by the docks this time a night.” The man gave her a crooked grin. “Now how ‘bout a reward sweetheart?” “Umm…” Ann bolted from the bar, not bothering to look back as she was followed by raucous laughter from the amused patrons. Getting down to the docks was the easiest part of the evening. A little bit of asking around directed her to Manny, who operated a scrap yard a little ways off the docks, taking materials from scrapped Power Armors which had been recovered. She knocked on the door and was rewarded with a half-naked man answering. “Waddaya want?” He asked, yawning and scratching himself. “A bike.” Ann paused. “A special bike… With missiles?” Manny gave her a curious look before laughing. “Look lady, I don’t know who you think you’re dealing with or what sod sent you my way but you’ve gotta get me up even earlier than this if you want to fool me. I’ve been ducking people like you since the day I was born. What, did you put the squeeze on Simon or sumthin?” “Simon?” Ann asked, a mystified look coming over her eyes. “Hey, y-you should know that I’m the one who beat that Rising Gundam!” Manny gave her a strange glance. “Je-sus, you really don’t know a damn thing do you.” He slammed to door in her face, leaving her in the dark, alone. Result: Recon Sucessful? Ann Gillars: +0 Ex, +1 Synch, 0 repair days |
